Overview
The New Digital Infrastructure and Fintech (NDIF) team is responsible for developing and building the future of digital currency, open banking and a developer-first approach that propels innovation with fintech and other partners, in support of realizing Mastercard's multi-rail potential.

The Vice President, Strategy and Operations will play a leading role in developing and communicating the vision and strategy across multiple defined product areas within NDIF, as well as driving operational excellence for the organization. The individual will serve as strategic consultant to a global team of payment innovators, providing thought partnership using research and data driven analysis to “connect the dots” across industry, technology, and consumer trends.

Responsibilities
• Directly partner with NDIF product teams to define and implement strategies that help capture growth and opportunity within a rapidly accelerating digital economy
• Report on market trends and evolutions and inform strategy with competitive intelligence
• Monitor performance against targets and evaluate potential challenges in order to implement action plans
• Structure, prioritize, and lead projects or major work streams in support of our most critical priorities and objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers to increase operating efficiency across the organization and better serve an evolving set of customer needs
• Draft communication plans and narratives that demonstrate the interconnectivity between our product areas and how we are bringing together our assets to future proof our business and realize Mastercard's most critical objectives (i.e., multi-rail potential)
• Lead a team to support operations across the business, inclusive of budget management, quarterly business reviews, KPI tracking, Studio process, planning, and risk management
• Lead our competitive intelligence and benchmarking work
• Own responsibility for P&C initiatives, including the plan for team's development, acknowledgement, and morale
• Centralize prioritization across legal, licensing, and franchise
• Accountable for Chief of Staff to NDIF cofounders and oversight of acquisition COS.

All About You
• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent degree. Advanced degree preferred.
• Significant expertise in payments required. Experience in emerging technologies highly valued
• Prior experience in a global Strategy & Operations or product development/management role
• Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to form compelling narratives and business cases
• High energy, self-starter, with ability to manage by influence
• Experience leading cross-functional [teams] and projects effectively, delivering results
