Job Title
Vice President, Software EngineeringThe VP Software Engineering is responsible for delivering and maintaining new systems and services for enabling the next generation of platform services, part of Mastercard's Distributed Platforms Program within the Operations, Network, and Employee Digital Experience space (Team ONE). The Distributed Platforms (DP) Program is responsible for procuring, provisioning, and managing Mastercard's on-prem cloud, compute, storage, and application servers including the platform services that support all Mastercard's products and services. DP aims to deliver API-driven, flexible provisioning for physical machines, virtual machines, containers, storage, and serverless compute infrastructure with the objective of “physical servers in hours, virtual machines in minutes, containers in seconds, functions in milliseconds”.You will grow and lead a team of technology professionals to design, build, and maintain a portfolio of software platforms/services that encompass automated provisioning of physical and virtual infrastructure, containers and container management (Kubernetes), on-prem cloud (Cloud Foundry), and serverless capabilities that support all of Mastercard's global products and services. You will be responsible for helping define the technology roadmap, financial planning, establishing delivery plans and overseeing the execution and delivery of program objectives. You will establish and manage technology relationship with vendors and service integrators and other third-party service providers.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for leading teams in the analysis, design, development, and delivery of technology solutions that support Mastercard's portfolio of products and services.
• Supervises and coach teams responsible for the Software Development of a portfolio of shared business services that are used across multiple products and domains.
• Works closely with business owners and other technology teams to define the roadmap for owned services and drive execution.
• Helps identify, coach and groom top talent and pro-actively develops employees as organizational resources and the respective function's compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal process.
• Provide strategic thinking and leadership related to a wide range of applications and systems, or software-development methodologies.
• Set the vision for an environment of ingenuity and creativity and acts as a role model for others in challenging the status quo to encourage innovation.
