Vice President, Corporate TreasuryOverview
The Corporate Treasury team performs all global treasury activities for Mastercard, including capital planning analysis, rating agency relationships, foreign exchange risk management foreign exchange spot and interbank settlement trading, cash management/positioning, pensions asset-liability management, capital markets transactions (debt issuances, equity share buy-back), credit facility management and intercompany funding. Additionally, the team is responsible for the treasury controllership function ensuring accurate public disclosures of all global treasury activities (e.g., preparing related 10Q/K footnotes).
The team centrally supports all business units, providing treasury services as needed. It also plays a critical part of broader corporate finance and business initiatives by providing cross-functional support and execution for special projects such as mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration, global tax planning initiatives, counterparty credit risk mitigation, etc.

Role
The Vice President, Capital Structure & Analysis will be an integral part of the Treasury Leadership team and the responsibilities include:
A. Lead in developing the investment strategy for the corporate investment portfolio
1. Perform periodic analysis to assess liquidity position and global cash forecasting methodologies
2. Develop quantitative and qualitative analysis to support investment strategy recommendations for corporate portfolio
a. Develop interest income forecasts, provide variance analysis, and actively monitor compliance within the investment portfolio
3. Lead in the development of investment analysis / performance for the Audit Committee
4. Interface with Corporate Planning and Cash Management teams to develop cash forecasting analyses
5. Manage miscellaneous investment projects as required

B. Lead in executing and monitoring foreign exchange risk management activities.
1. Evaluate corporate hedging programs and propose recommendation as appropriate
a. Maintain rolling cashflow hedging program
b. Work cross-functionally with regions and corporate finance to determine and analyze exposures
c. Integrate acquisitions into the all hedging programs

2. Identify and implement process improvements that reduce financial and operational risks

3. Support the documentation and enforcement of proper audit controls to minimize operational and financial risks.

4. Lead in managing implications of regulatory topics to ensure compliance

5. Maintain an awareness of foreign exchange markets and global economic conditions that affect major currencies

C. Lead in managing the assets pertaining to retirement plans
1. Develop quarterly performance reviews primarily for the U.S. Defined Benefit and
Contribution Plans to the Investment Committee
2. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to service level agreements for custodial services and asset management providers

3. Serve as liaison to Human Resources and assist in ad hoc requests related to benefit plans

4. Maintain an awareness of regulations related retirement benefit plans and proactively communicate relevant industry updates to senior management

All About You
• The position will involve analysis and execution so both analysis and project/process management skills will be necessary
• Strong knowledge of financial theory and practice related to capital markets. Ideally, this would have been gained through a combination of experience in Treasury at a multi-national company and an MBA in Finance
• Knowledge of foreign exchange fundamentals and concepts
•Experience in a multinational company involving repatriation of cash would be very helpful
• Team player with proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Prior People Management Experience Desired
