SVP, Global Digital Marketing & Martech
The SVP Global Digital Marketing & Martech is responsible for leading a cutting-edge digital team and practice. The lead will develop a digital vision and strategy based upon key technology, behavioral and marketing trends in support of the overall enterprise strategy, identity, brand purpose and position. The role will create, execute, and manage capabilities to drive scale, efficiency, effectiveness, and speed to market for innovations. The leader will also be critical in driving a culture of continuous innovation and seen as a driver and inspiration for digital innovation.
Understanding the various stakeholders Mastercard serves including consumers, financial institutions, FinTech's, merchants, corporations, governments, etc., advocate a user-based digital methodology, demonstrating via thought leadership and implementation, the value of this approach by increasing key digital activities and enhancing the overall brand. Deploy the User Experience teams' diverse skills on specific initiatives, increasing the success of digital efforts by increasing adoption, influencing user traffic, increasing user task success rates, and ensuring a user feedback loop wherever possible.
Ensure marketing strategies fit and reinforce the brand's strategy, positioning, presence, and drive consumer/business stakeholder affection; translate marketing and product ideas into concrete initiatives; innovative Marketing approaches, particularly in personalized CRM, as well as within the Digital and Social Media spaces; and recommend pro-forma marketing strategies and go-to-market plans.
Significant proven passion for and experience leveraging key technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Gaming, and advanced digital capabilities to advance Mastercard's digital strategy.
This role is ideal for an organized, inspirational, influential, and solution-focused leader with deep subject matter expertise in digital marketing and martech, and a proven track record including balance of strategy, practical execution, data/analytics, and innovation management.
Partner with EVP to define and implement a plan to evolve strategy practice to keep pace with industry change. This role works with an exciting, iconic brand gearing up to do big things in 2022 and beyond.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop and manage Global digital marketing strategies
• Disseminate global/regional best practices along with KPIs and benchmarks
• Deliver modern technology stack and create partner opportunities against priority business/digital marketing strategies to drive efficiencies and effectiveness for regions
• Ensure cutting-edge digital practice, test, and learn culture with an eye towards scaling current and future digital marketing opportunities and innovations
• Identify, understand, and adapt new techniques and emerging technologies to support strategy execution, positioning the brand as leader in innovation, driving business strategies and stronger/more efficient executions

• Connect new technology adoption and behaviors in consumer and B2B audiences to actionable strategies and deliverables (e.g., AI, Blockchain, etc.)

• Lean into experiential marketing strategy driving forward opportunities to advance passions strategy for consumers in growing opportunities (e.g., gaming, NFTs, etc.)

• Advance and extend B2B brand via efficient and measurable ways to move B2B audiences through funnel from awareness and perception of businesses for payments, services, and new networks, through to consideration and advocacy. This includes full review of B2B presence in the digital space from search to websites, to lead/demand gen infrastructure.

• Drive innovation agenda and process, creating ongoing opportunities to inspire new thinking and implementing test/learn plans to scale new technology/marketing advances

• Drive oversite and guidance of social marketing presence, driving forward trends, best practices, common content opportunities and overall personality of social presence globally

• Generate creative and integrated ideas and opportunities with other business units, as part of planning

• Work closely with communications to position company effectively across multiple audiences, and ensure processes in place and alignment for management of crisis communications (social/site messaging)

• Deliver ongoing market level analyses and reporting to ensure key guidelines adhered to

• Create strong agency and technology/operations partner relationships

Qualifications
Must be a passionate and proven Digital Marketing industry expert with extensive experience, working closely with both Marketing and Product development organizations and dealing with international markets.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required and a master's degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of the global bankcard/payments market, with particular focus on cards' marketing/retail banking would be a plus
• Analytical marketing experience - ability to convert data points into information for action
• Expertise in consumer brand, promotions, and direct marketing with specific skills to deliver best practices in acquisition, activation, usage, and retention marketing
• Creative thinker with a desire and tenacity to test innovative customer solutions for potential rollout ‒ Global markets knowledge and experience
• Leadership and project management skills
• Entrepreneurial, curious mind, risk taking, working at a fast pace, yet accountable always
• Effective operations management skills, ensuring capabilities are scalable globally
• Strong influential and partnership skills
• Strong managerial skills – ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams and staff
