[Overview]
• Provide world-class support and expertise to MasterCard's Oracle EBS application database environments.
• Represent MasterCard's Data Architecture team as a subject matter expert in the Oracle EBS sub domains.
• Continually look for opportunities to create efficiencies and provide expertise to integrate technologies and platforms into current environment
• Contribute to technology roadmaps to support MasterCard's vision for all Oracle and Postgres technologies.

• Perform systems maintenance (Oracle RDMBS, Oracle Application Server, WebLogic, Oracle OAM) and Systems Administration
• Systems Analysis and Performance Tuning (Oracle Database 12c/19c, WebLogic, Oracle Application Server, JVM Tuning, Application SQL and PL/SQL code tuning, etc.)
• Perform Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) apps DBA duties as assigned including code migrations, patching, cloning, backup and recovery and installation of Oracle COTS software.
• Perform daily system health checks and monthly performance metrics to publish reports.
• Installation / upgrades (for database and EBS, etc.)
• Cloning / backup / restore
• Monitoring / trouble shooting / performance tuning
• Monitoring setup using Oracle Enterprise Manger (OEM)
• Creation and implementation of fully functional database clusters, ability to maintain multiple development, QA and production environments with experience in performance tuning.
• Review existing configurations and installations and provide design decisions for improvements to platform environments.
• Assist in planning and performing Oracle EBS and database upgrades and migrations.
• Responsible for providing day-to-day administration support and maintenance for Oracle EBS and databases.
• Perform production level support and be part of the 24x7 on-call rotation when required.
• Work with Oracle vendor and its respected support channels when required.
• Work with multiple application teams and developers.
• Contribute in defining best practices and application database solutions.
• Assist in implementing long-term strategic goals for database development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Implement HA solutions and define backup/recovery strategies.
• Identify inefficiencies in current databases and implement improved solutions.

Education (preferred):
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information systems or equivalent experience.

[About You]
• Requires 6-8 years of related experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of Oracle and Postgres
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in managing Oracle databases that run on EBS applications.
• Exposure to database migration and upgrades, with experience in the installation of Oracle EBS Applications.
• Perform debugging, tuning and performance enhancement as well as automation of operational and continuous integration aspect of the Oracle EBS and database platforms.
• Proficient with the Linux operating system, specifically Oracle Linux Enterprise.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages, Bash, ksh, perl etc.
