Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, GHG Data Strategy OVERVIEW

This position will work within Mastercard's Climate group to oversee greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data and provide associated stewardship with all other sustainability initiatives. The position will require a demonstrated passion for environmental sustainability and requisite ownership of all data.

ROLE

• Report and manage Mastercard's Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG Emissions
• Improve data accuracy and corresponding levels of detail
• Responsible for climate data integrity and visualization to various levels of engaged stakeholders
• Support data requirements for other climate initiatives including but not limited to TCFD, SEC and other financial mechanisms
• Manage and maintain Mastercard's online environmental sustainability platform
• Monthly and quarterly reviews of the database through data audits and verification checks
• Serve as subject matter expert for scope 1, 2, and 3 data
• Complete required monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
• Partner with internal teams as required
• Develop QA/QC process for all data and conduct on a monthly and annual basis
• Participate in meetings and workshops and maintain required documentation
• Assist with all public and internal environmental sustainability reporting including CDP, sustainability goals, RFPs and other ad hoc requests – heavy reporting responsibilities

ALL ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field will be considered
• Experience with sustainability, energy management and carbon accounting
• Experience in data analytics
• Strong Excel skills
• Familiarity with GHG reporting
• Salesforce experience
• Green accreditations strongly preferred
• Familiarity with interval data, meter readings, unit conversions, local and international green certification, energy efficiency programs and sustainability organizations
