Job Title
Senior Analyst, Environmental Sustainability, Supply ChainOverviewThis individual will work within the global Climate team. Primary responsibility is direct oversight and implementation of supply chain intervention strategies and projects to reduce Mastercard's GHG footprint. Successful candidate will engage directly with key suppliers, as well as Mastercard's extended supply chain, to leverage emission reduction technologies with a strong emphasis on energy reduction and embedded carbon.
Role :
• Actively engage with suppliers on process efficiency, renewable energy, hardware upgrades, energy efficiency, product design, and travel reductions.
• Research and recommend relevant carbon removal technologies.
• Contribute to pathway ideation for Mastercard's environmental sustainability goals and targets related to supply chain (Net Zero, RE100, interim Science Based Targets).
• Provide ancillary support with other emissions' reduction goals (i.e. employee travel, commuting).
• Establish and oversee short and long-term budgetary requirements.
• Engage with third-party assurance providers for audit and verification of intervention project performance.
• Collaborate closely with Climate team members to help foster supply chain relationships.
All About You :
• Environmental, energy, mechanical or related degree required.
• Strong prior experience with energy management, GHG emissions, environmental sustainability, and renewable energy experience.
• Prior supply chain experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of green building certifications and GHG reduction strategies.
• Strong communication skills with demonstrable comfort interacting with all levels of management.
