Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, Data Quality Programs-3 The Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) team within the AI and Data Office is responsible for developing Mastercard's data quality program and driving data quality improvements. We ensure data is of the highest quality and is fit-for-purpose to support business and analytic uses. Data Sourcing will support the data sourcing strategy leading the acquisition and analysis of third-party data to support business use cases and product development. This role focuses on implementing data ingestion workflows, performing quality checks, and delivering actionable insights using SQL, ETL tools, and cloud-based platforms. Working closely with data sourcing team, data strategy leads, technical teams, and business stakeholders, the Senior Analyst ensures high-quality external data is integrated effectively and documented for compliance, reporting, and innovation.

Role
As a Senior Analyst, Data Quality Programs you will:
• Support the execution of data acquisition strategies by partnering with Data sourcing team, data strategy leads, business SMEs, and stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate external data sources, and deliver insights for high-quality external data use cases.
• Lead the development of data ingestion and ETL workflows across cloud and on-prem systems, while co-driving third-party data sourcing strategies and influencing the prioritization of external data assets.
• Perform data analysis using SQL, cloud tools, and workflow automation platforms; iterate on outputs and share actionable insights with stakeholders.
• Apply governance standards during execution to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
• Maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation to track acquisition activities and KPIs.
• Shape strategic data sourcing decisions by supporting requirement gathering, validating use cases, and advising on data suitability for enterprise initiatives
• Collaborate with technical teams to run workflows and monitor pipeline performance.
• Contribute to modernization efforts by recommending improvements to data processes, governance, and security features that enable advanced analytics and innovation.
• Develop educational materials and provide training on tools and processes as needed.

All About You
• Strong understanding of data analysis, data ecosystems and data management.
• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with data ingestion, ETL processes, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with cloud architecture (Databricks preferred), data marketplaces, and emerging technologies (machine learning/AI).
• Proficiency in SQL and exposure to Python; experience with data wrangling, matching, and ETL techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization and operational data management practices.
• Ability to execute operational tasks, drive process improvements, and coordinate projects.
• Intellectual curiosity and a process-driven approach to support business use cases.
• Understanding of Mastercard products and systems preferred.
