Job Title
Director, M&A IntegrationOverview:Provides strategic direction and governance of the Finance M&A integration program
Establishes deal management framework and provides project management tools
Manages deal pipeline through diligence and partners with Finance sub workstreams to identify the integration budget needs and the initial base plan
Supports on-going project decisioning, cross-functional solutioning and program level coordination
Consults on high risk issues and coordinates solutions that are program wide through the integration
Provides and on-going focus to Optimize and streamline finance integration management and integration process
Role:
• Defining the integration basics, including the degree of integration and guiding principles across functions
• Coordinating integration activities across the combining organizations through a disciplined and structured approach, including functional and cross-functional workstreams
• Rolling out the integration methodology and tools, including status reporting and dependency and issue management
• Manages M&A program across all active deals to identify issues, decisions, and resource constraints, and escalate to executive management for resolution
• Launching key communications and the communication planning process
• Incorporates learnings from prior integrations into ‘playbook' to ensure continuous improvement
• Applies enterprise/industry best practices defined by the Integration Center of Excellence; captures new learnings to continue to nurture best practices
Project Execution:
• Accountable for Finance Integration Lead (Deal specific project lead) onboarding covering integration philosophy and processes, best practices, tools and resources and provides ongoing coaching
• Develop Project charters, lead integration bootcamps and communicate the integration journey to the acquired company finance teams.
• Coach project teams with initial development of milestones, team structure and processes
• Consults on on-going project decisioning, cross-functional solutioning and program level coordination
• Support the overall Integration effort from initial design to transition to BAU
• Provides oversight of program level change/scope control
Deal Management:
• Participates in Due Diligence as appropriate to assess the target company's financial health, operations, accounting policy and controls to identify potential risks and integration complexity
• Works with the Strategy team to develop integration estimates and purchase price considerations that will impact the business model
Coordination:
• Provide overall program updates to Mastercard Finance Executives and ICOE (Integration Center of Excellence / integration Executive)
• Act as a liaison between ICOE, Other Functional Workstream leads, Finance Integration Lead (FIL) and Mastercard Finance; to ensure issues are identified and addressed
Other
• Manage and/or conduct ad hoc projects as required
• Leads Cross functional process improvements
• Role will be based in Purchase, NY OR O'Fallon, MO
• Travel required

• Experience operating in a diverse, multi-functional finance group across time zones
• Exposure to supporting a designated business area on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvement activities; makes recommendations to further improve procedures
