Role
The Mastercard Cross Border Services team in Pune is looking for a Software Test Engineer I position to drive our Cross Border Network Development team forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. Our team is responsible for designing and developing new capabilities and frameworks on the Mastercard Cross Border Services Platform (XBS).
As a Software Test Engineer I, you will play a key role in the testing and support of the company's key applications used throughout world. This includes analysis, designing, executing tests for the application whilst also managing technical/functional support tasks.
As a member of our geographically distributed development team your communication and analytical skills are essential to the role.
• Participate in requirements analysis.
• Deploy & test applications and systems.
• Develop documentation throughout the software testing life cycle (STLC in accordance with Mastercard documentation standards.)
• Expert on applications and provide technical/functional support.
• Write and verifies test cases which adheres to the acceptance criteria.
• Testing according to best practices as per industry & organization standards.
• Post Implementation Support and production support.

Skills
• Manual Testing, API Testing, Good knowledge of functional and cross-browser testing.
• Experience in testing APIs (REST API and Soap API) using tools - SoapUI, Postman etc.
• Hands on experience in DB testing
• Compatibility testing understanding
• Test case preparation and management
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management skills with an eye for detail
• Knowledge of Selenium Web Driver, Jmeter, etc.
• Ability to function with minimal/no supervision.
• Experience working with global teams, i.e., offshore - onshore model.
• Self-motivated and quick learner
• Familiarity with Agile SCRUM methodology is required.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
